The Mystery Of The Missing Mini Furniture
Some of the credit goes to my friends, thank you for helping me!
Chapter 1
Half is gone!
One perfect day at the Mouse Furniture Mart, the manager, Mr. Squeaker was walking down the aisles of furniture in his store. Until… he saw a half of the furniture was gone!
“AAAAHHH!” squeaked Mr. Squeaker, “Half my furniture is gone!” Mr. Squeaker dialed the Mouse Solvers.
Back in HQ AKA The Basement. Maya and Markus were waiting for a call. Soon enough Mr. Squeaker's call came, “I got it!” shouted Maya and Markus. Then the 2 mice pulled hard, but Maya was able to get the phone. “Hello, this is the Mouse Solvers speaking,” Maya said. When Maya heard all about the theft she said “We’ll be there tomorrow afternoon,”
Meanwhile, at the store, Mr. Squeaker was pacing back and forth anxiously. The next afternoon Maya and Markus grabbed all the investigation tools like a hand lens, pencil, notebook, camera, binoculars, evidence bags, etc. Mr. Squeakers looked at the clock and sighed “Why were they late?!” thought Mr. Squeakers anxiously.
Chapter 2
The Clues
When the mice arrived, Mr. Squeakers sighed with relief as the mice started looking for clues. Maya found paw marks of a mouse all around the stolen furniture aisle. She noted this down in her notebook and took a picture, she looked at the footmark more closely, it was dirt! Markus found a note reading,
Blue Mouse,
Stolen furniture, go to
“It’s ripped!” squeaked Markus.
“We need to find the other piece, Markus, please slip out and see if you can find the same foot mark while I look for the rest of the note.”
“The security cameras!” yelled Markus.
They looked at the security cameras and found a mouse dressed in black, like a ninja. They recorded this and looked for more clues. Maya followed the trail of mouse prints. And after 15 minutes Maya found something!
Chapter 3
Finding Suspects
Maya found the rest of the note which read,
the den
Red Mouse
“These must be code names,” thought Maya.
Meanwhile, Markus couldn’t find anything. When they rejoined, they squeaked together and came up with a plan. They need to see mice footprints and their paw writing. They began to think of suspects. Only Red Mouse, Blue Mouse, and that Black Mouse came to mind. But they did have strange mousebors. “They could be Ms. Tittlemouse, Mr. Mouse, or Mrs. Squeakie,” said Maya.
“Let’s interview them then,” says Markus.
“Ok,” said Maya.
They started walking home and told Mr. Squeaker that they would come a quarter past 5 to report the facts.
Chapter 4
The Interviews
Maya and Markus went to Ms. Tittlemouse’s home first.
“Yes?” answered Ms. Tittlemouse. “Ms. Tittlemouse, just a teensy little favor, can you write something on this piece of paper?” asked Markus.
“Ugh, fine.” Ms. Tittlemouse reluctantly signed the paper with “Go away”.
“One more thing, can you please step in the dirt and mark your paws on the grass, then we will certainly leave you alone,” said Maya. She had said the magic words and Ms. Tittlemouse stepped in the dirt and did so. Then after a quick bye, she slammed the door in their faces. “She had better go to manners school for a hundred years,” snorted Markus in disgust. Ms. Tittlemouse’s signature and footmarks didn’t match the picture. Then they interviewed the other suspects. Mr. Mouse’s footmarks matched! Then they went back to Mr. Squeaker's Mouse Furniture Mart and then they marched back to Mr. Mouse’s house.
Chapter 5
We got you!
When Maya and Markus went to Mr. Mouse’s home they inspected every inch of the house seeing some of the stolen furniture in Mr. Mouse’s house, the curtains were open to see inside. Then they rapidly knocked on the door. Mr. Mouse answered the door “Oh, it’s you, again.” said Mr. Mouse not showing the slightest excitement to see them. “A bit of furniture was stolen from the Mouse Furniture Mart, have you seen anyone? Or is it perhaps you?!” said Maya. Mr. Mouse had gone slightly red and blushed under his grey coat of fur. “N No I haven’t seen anyone,” he answered. But Maya said, “We found this note *holds the note in paw* in the store and the ending point. We also noticed that your paw writing is the same as the note and that we saw that your paws matched the paw marks. Anything to say about that?” “Ok Ok, it was me! But I used the note as a red herring.” Mr. Mouse admitted. “Go return the furniture and if you want it, pay!” yelled Mr. Squeakers. Case closed!
