Running Free
A shiny golden-coated mare (female horse) was trotting in the wild, she was looking for food to feed her foals (baby horses). She came upon a beautiful apple tree, shiny, bright red, juicy apples were waiting to be picked. Some apples were slightly bent and were ready to drop down, the mare bucked the tree with her hind legs and the apples came down with a soft sound. She picked out the juiciest apples for her family and trotted home. Chocolate and Caramel were sister and brother, Chocolate was a boy and Caramel was a girl. They were playful foals and were courageous, they loved their mother very much and loved to go for walks with her. The fillies jumped with joy as their mother came in with the apples. Their mother gave an apple to Caramel and Chocolate and the foals gave their mother one too. After breakfast, they headed out into the woods for a pleasant stroll. At their walk, hunters approached, Caramel, Chocolate, and their mother galloped fast, but the hunters managed to capture the foal’s mother. As Chocolate and Caramel hid in the bushes, their mother was put in a van and the hunters sang at the top of their voices.
“We got the golden one! We got the golden one!”
“What should we do?” whispered Chocolate, but Caramel had not been listening, she was squinting at their sign, then she gasped and tears formed around her eyes, it looked like she had just been shocked.
“Hey Caramel?” said Chocolate confused.
“They are going to sell Mother!” she cried softly. “No..”
“Oh, Oh no,” said Chocolate, it looked like the world was over, it was crashing down for the two foals, but Caramel got into action, the hunters were still at the same spot, so they had time.
“I have an idea, we will follow them, then we can save Mother,” said Caramel. Then they heard their mother.
“Let go of me you ruffians!” yelled the foal’s mother.
“Then we have to do it quick!” said Chocolate.
They waited until the hunters started driving,
They followed the hunters' van through vast forests and marshes. The journey took 3 days, and they were often tired.
“Caramel, *pant* we’re here!” said Chocolate.
“This was your big plan?” sneered Caramel
“Just, come on!” urged Chocolate.
They found their mother locked up in one of the cells of the ramada in the right corner labeled 33. As soon as their mother saw them, she jumped with joy! Then filled it with worry.
“Children, run! The hunters are coming, you are wild and free, go and save yourselves, I love you.” said the mother.
“No, we have a plan!” said Caramel, ”what’s the plan?”
“Mother, do you have enough strength to kick down the door?” asked Chocolate.
“Let’s see *slam*. No, sorry,” said the mother.
“What was that?” panicked the hunters.
Minutes from the deadline, The foal’s mother kicked harder and faster.
“We need to help her!” yelled Caramel over the commotion.
Then, with one more strong kick, they knocked down the door! Caramel and Chocolate chewed on the rope and they started running. As soon as the man entered the ramada, he noticed the stall empty, he heard galloping behind him.
“MY HORSE!” he complained out of shock.
The three horses galloped away.
