My Journey

Looking back to different stories, I have realized that....it has been FOUR YEARS since the first post was posted on my blog. Wow! The most important thing is how my writing has changed and developed since then. This story isn't exactly what it normally is, but it means something to me and I want to share it. Hey everyone! Welcome back to STorytime for Kids! Today I’ll sharing my past in writing in ways like how i got started, my first story, and my progress up until today. As of date, I have been writing for five full years and it is interesting and fun to look back at te stories I have written. Enjoy! It started back in second grade when Covid began. Teachers started giving us assignments to do online. IT WAS SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOo BORING!! When my teacher made everyone pull up a Google Doc and write a short story. I decided to go all out. This is the first story I have written. Before this, I barely knew how to type and write. Once upon a time there were two blobs named Glob and...

I am Hopeful

I am hopeful because humans can get out of any mess. There are scientists, innovators, engineers, doctors, and so many more careers who have dedicated their lives to advancing society. The world has thrown us into many problems which we have found solutions for and making progress toward the solutions. Take COVID-19 for example, people were too scared to even step out of the safety of their homes because they thought they would die. People wore masks, and gloves, and had globs and globs of hand sanitiser. Scientists, doctors, innovators, and doctors worked on vaccines and medicines for this disease. Now, if someone gets Covid? Whatever. Take some medicine, you’ll be fine in some time. This shows how people have moved on from the past. Another example is climate change, people are working toward stopping this act. Working on electric cars, and cutting down on burning fossil fuels. Technology is advancing and engineers are coming up with many ways to slow it down and stabilis...

How to Make Your Sister Do Things for You

You need a glass of water, but you don’t want to get up. Well, say no more! You can have your OWN PERSONAL assistant that does EVERYTHING for you! Unfortunately, it comes with a cost; it’s your sister. I bet if you were to ask your sister if she would get you a glass of water, the response would be, “UGH! You want to do everything for you! The answer is NO!” Another problem for you in the typical sibling relationship. It is okay because you can fool you sister into doing something for you. PRECAUTIONS BE CAREFUL! You have to be careful on how you talk to your sibling otherwise you’re not going to get anything out of this. SMARTNESS LEVEL! You might want to go for the siblings that are young and don’t know too much. This will make the process easier. DO NOT BRIBE! You could end up promising too much, they might get angry at you, or this could end in disaster. STEPS First, come up with a game or trick you can show them. Examples could be like the infinite chocolate bar trick or tim...

Trapped

When Albert Einstein had a theory of E=mc2, it was a total “eureka!!” moment for him. When I had my “eureka!!” moment, it sounded like this, “AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!”, and I am NOT exaggerating. I have a little sister which is the best thing in the world, but she is ANNOYING!! Most of the time, my sister can get away with anything. If I yell at her or get mad at her, or anything of that sort, I have LITERALLY seen her stand near the steps and YELL! Let’s just say she has potential in the singing field. I’m always getting in trouble when I’m around her and even when I’m not around her.  This is how my parents think it goes— Me: Hey! I’m going to mean to you for practically NO REASON! My sister: Wait, I’m such a nice person, why would you do this?! I want to be your friend! Me: YAHAHAHAHAHA! I don’t care! You are such a stinky person! My sister: cries Me: gets yelled at This is how it ACTUALLY goes— My sister: Hi! Do you want to play together? Me: In a ...

How to Steal Your Sister's Expensive Markers

Your sister has the most beautiful markers ever and won’t share. A typical sibling relationship. Don’t fear, it happens, and you EXTREMELY want these markers! This is how not to get yelled at Mom and get away with it. PRECAUTIONS!! PATIENCE IS KEY!! You need to wait until your sister has an event or is just away from their room. Do NOT do it when they are in the house. You might need to consider planning friend events or things like that, but usually, these things are cleared up on their own. You need to spend at least a price range of 5-20 dollars. This will be worth it for later!! HIDE THE EVIDENCE!! When your sister realizes they’re gone, you are an obvious suspect. HIDE THE EVIDENCE!! DON’T TOUCH ANYTHING!! When you have the markers, don’t give any cards or drawing to your sister or your parents using them because your sister may recognize anything having to do with her markers. It’s crazy but true. STEPS!! A couple of weeks earlier, tell your mom to take you to a gag gifts l...

The Fighter

Bells were ringing in the Kingdom of Flora and Nightingale. The princess was turning sixteen! In the garden, the gardeners tended to the lilies, the princess’s favorite flower. In the castle’s ballroom, people were getting diamond chandeliers fixed upon the walls, the classical band was practicing for their debut, and people were decorating the stairs. Twenty plates of the Queen’s best china set with her teacups, teapot, and fancy silverware were on the dining table. The cooks were making macarons and flaky butter croissants. “Princess? We’re ready,” said the princess’s castle steward. “Coming!” said the princess. As the princess stepped out of her room, the castle steward smiled, and the princess’s beauty shone. She walked down in a gorgeous velvet dress, covered with pearls and silk ribbon.  The maid however was not as impressed and looked at the princess with her beady little eyes. She thought the princess had everything, was too spoiled, and acted very insincere, ...

Sisters!

This is what it’s like having a sister. I awoke to the sound of ragged breathing running along down my neck. It felt hot and humid. I yawned and shifted to the side. The breathing followed me. Soon after, I got irritated and opened my eyes. I saw sparkly sunglasses, too much makeup, and a wide smile looking back at me. I screamed! “Hi, sissy! HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY!” said my little sister. She handed me a white envelope.  As I opened it, the glitter blinded me. “Hey, where did you get all these sparkles from?” “I used Mommy’s diamond dust and your clear nail polish to give it a shine!” “WHAT!” I yelled. “You know you’re not supposed to use Mommy’s diamond dust! Wait! Did you….just say you used my CLEAR NAIL POLISH?!” “Yup!” she nodded. I ran to the bathroom. There was my nail polish. Empty. Some of the contents were dripping out and it was a sparkly mess. My mouth hung in horror. “NO! What did you do?!” “Made you a Valentine's card, duh,” she answered. “GET OUT OF MY ROOM! AN...
