Chapter 1 The Invasion Me and Emma rushed down the hall covering our faces. It was only a matter of time before we were taken. Buildings were being thrown down, the air was damp and cold, screaming was all around. Suddenly Emma started floating in the air. She screamed. The aliens had spotten us! I ran as fast as I could but Emma did not make it. My parents were taken too and I was all alone. My heart was pounding and I could feel a scream building up in my chest but I held it in. The aliens had finally left and it was quiet. I got up from my hiding spot. Tears fell out of my eyes. After that another tear popped open in my eyes. Then a shadow appeared.   Let me ask you a question. Why can’t kids vote? It doesn’t seem fair that adults think kids need help on every big decision they make. I don’t even think some adults even let kids handle big decisions. Why are kids little to do everything? If adults can turn in their ideas and their choices, why can’t kids? Why can’t kids do anything? I think that everyone should have a choice to do something. I want you to walk up to the mayor’s office and tell him/her the reasons why kids should vote. If the mayor's impressed he will tell the governor. Then the vice president will hear this and then the president. Once upon a time there was a mother pig who had 5 children. She had a very easy life. Her children were very helpful. When it was time for her children to go to college she was so sad.  She said Bye to her children and they left. They went to New York City.  They bought a house.The first pig did not like wasting his money at all so he bought a house that cost 150$. The second pig searched for a house and bought a small house for 200$. The third pig thought I will stay in a hotel until I find a house I like. Then the fourth pig thought I don’t want to get a house. I will go and stay with my mother so he went back to his mother’s house. His mother was so happy to see him but as soon as he went to the house, he was about to sneeze so he picked up a tissue.   Page 1 I walk to the bus with my head drooping. Here is what happened earlier. My name is Addison Meadows. I am 11 years old and I am in 5th grade. I was drawing a picture of a landscape, I added a bit of blending sky, birds in the sky and some animals. “How’s your painting coming Ashley”? I ask my best friend “Why don’t you have a look”. Answers Ashley. I go over to her table and drop my brush, her painting looks so realistic, she painted Abraham Lincoln in black and white paint.   Salt was a kind and caring soul, well, Pepper on the other hand is a different story. He was as mean as King cobra, as spicy as a jalapeno, so mean everyone hated him and avoided him. They stayed with Salt and Pepper got lonely as well as jealous. Then  a tiny girl came into the room to use Salt or Pepper. Pepper got as good looking as it could, but still, Salt got picked. Pepper flamed in anger. When night rose upon the sky, Pepper began his plan. He wanted to kidnap Salt, learn all the secrets, dress up as salt, go back to being Pepper and get picked. Crow was a careless and selfish bird who thought only about himself and no one else. He thought he only mattered and everyone had to obey him. All the other animals stayed away from him. He got very angry that everyone was ignoring him. He called his partner the eagle to capture everyone. The eagle obeyed his command so Crow thought he was the greatest animal in the world. By sunset the eagle had captured 3 animals : A Wood Stork, a Rabbit and a Squirrel. Crow said “You must obey me. I am very powerful and you are nothing. You don’t matter. I matter because I am good at everything and you are good at nothing”. The animals got very scared and promised to obey him. A few days later there was a race where animals had to pass a button. In the city of Clarksville there lived a bus driver John. One day early in the morning, John was driving the bus, BUMP!!!!!!!!! BANG!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!! John heard a sound, it woke up all the passengers. John says “Let me go check what happened”. He sees the tires and goes to the passengers and says “I am sorry but the bus has a flat tire, basically 2 flat tires I think you must stay in a hotel until I fix the bus”. So everyone checks in a hotel, the kids are crying, but slowly they go to sleep. The next morning everyone is looking for John, they were very mad and thought the bus driver had abandoned them. Now they wished they had a taxi. Then John appeared with coffee and donuts in his hands. The others are like “JOHN! I thought you abandoned us”. John was like “I would never do that!
