2 Garden Dragons Adventure

 Once upon a time there lived 2 garden dragons, they were sisters and were pets of 2 humans. The elder one Diamond had shiny metallic golden wings and her body was bright and glowed gold shimmers. The younger one however was not like her sister, She was called Pink Rubie. She had two light pink wings and her body was a darker glittery hot pink. The two fought a lot when they met, so they were really happy that their owners didn’t live together. They only saw each other 2-3 times a week. One day their owners went for a sleepover at Diamond’s. The owner of Pink Rubie set her free and trotted away. 

“What are you doing here in my house!” said Diamond, outraged. 

“My owner wanted to meet your owner so don’t look at me!” Pink Rubie yelled back. 

“Ugh, whatever! I am going outside! See you later you baby!” said Diamond again. 

“Don’t call me a baby!” Rubie hollered after her. 

Night came and Diamond still did not return. Even though Diamond and Pink Rubie loathe each other, Pink Rubie still got really worried. Their owners were already outside searching for Diamond. Pink Rubie looked at the bright moon as tears shined in her eyes.  The next morning around half past four Pink Rubie had set out to search for her big sister. As she was reaching the hills at least 2 miles away from Diamond’s house. Something pulled her into a log. It was Diamond. 

“Diamond! What are-” 

“Shh!” Diamond interrupted. 

She peeked through the hole in the log and sighed relieved. 

“First, what is going on? Second, why didn’t you return? Third, why did you drag me in here?” Pink Rubie said confusedly. 

“As I was flying around a neighborhood a hunter spotted me and tried to capture me. He is gone now so I’ve been running and hiding and then I couldn’t find my way home because every turn I took he was on my tail.” Diamond explained. 

“Ok, anyway I think the hunter might have given up by now, let’s go home.” Pink Rubie said. 

Diamond nodded her head, but when they looked outside they figured they had gotten really lost now. Something behind them grabbed Diamond and Pink Rubie. “You two are going to make me rich once I sell you to the SSAR!” said a voice behind them, they turned around and saw the hunter holding them! (The SSAR is named Secret Skinning Animals Rugs) They were exotic critters much to the hunters delight, they were going to be skinned! As they were being tied up to metal chains the sisters began quarreling again. 

“I hate you! If you had not come out here then we wouldn’t have to die! I was worried about you, I went after you, I searched for you, I didn’t think about my own needs and this is how you repaid me! Shame on you! Hmm!” yelled Pink Rubie.

“All you care about is getting repaid, we are sisters, that is your duty! In fact, how was I supposed to know I would get caught! We are both going to die now and to make the situation worse we are fighting!” Diamond yelled back. 

“Me, protect you?! You should’ve always looked out for me! I am the younger sibling and you think I should take care of you! Face it, quarreling isn’t going to help! Our lives are over!” Pink Rubie screamed.

Diamond whimpered. Rubie gulped. 

“Unless...we came up with a plan to escape together.” Diamond said slowly. “But I am only doing this to save myself just like you want to save yourself.” 

“After this we can go home!” Pink Rubie said. 

“No, our life with our owners is over, it’s too dangerous to go back.” Diamond sharply said. 

“Then, where will we live?” Rubie questioned. Diamond took a deep breath. “There’s something I should’ve told you a long time ago, before you were born we lived in an amazing land near the hills. It was magical, to make sure no other animals could enter, we had pictures of us to let us in. When mom was pregnant with you, dad went to the outside world to grab food for us, he didn’t return, some say he died, but I don’t want to believe it. 2 days later without dad the whole thing collapsed because he was head of security. Mom had just given birth to you when hunters came, they shot mom, you had just fallen out of mom’s hands. I caught you but the hunters began to track me down, I didn’t want them to kill you so I went to a girl’s home, then I saw two friends, I left you with one girl and I took the other.” 

“Whoa…”Rubie said, amazed “So we were never orphans, you lied to me?” 

“I know but it was the only way. You would just want to go back and search for our home, so I had to keep it to myself. ” 

“You saved me, Thank you!” For the first time, the sisters hugged and they found a way out. 

“Plan A play dead.” Pink Rubie said.

 “And?” Diamond asked. 

“That’s all…” Pink Rubie said. 

After a while they decided to play dead. They had magical powers so they created blood. After a while the hunter noticed…

 “What is going on? Are these dead? I’ll be fired if I bring dead animals to the SSAR *gulp* I lose 15 billion dollars...I can’t risk that happening, I’ll throw these out.” The hunter untangled the chains and threw Diamond and Pink Rubie on the ground. A while later Rubie and Diamond brushed themselves 

“Couldn’t you have thought of another less painful plan?” asked Diamond.

“It doesn’t matter now anyway, we’re free!!!” cheered Pink Rubie.

“C’mon we’re going to our birthplace.” said Diamond.

Since it was dark, Diamond lit up her body. It was bright and glowing metallic now.

“Wow! I never knew you could do that!” said Pink Rubie, amazed.

“Mom taught me, before she…” Diamond left off. “It’s simple, just picture yourself glowing, don’t strain it, flap your wings a little. *light* There you go! Good job!” said Diamond.

Pink Rubie giggled as she was glowing bright pink. Diamond and Pink Rubie set off for a new chapter in their lives. When they reached home, it was gone, burnt. 

“Guess no one survived,” said Pink Rubie.

Then she saw Diamond starting to use her magic powers, as she was old enough to repiece enchantments now.

“Wait what?” said a garden dragon.

“I know that voice!” said Diamond as she flew to the other side of the magical building. Pink Rubie followed her and she saw a green and blue adult garden dragon!

“D Dad?” said Diamond.

“Diamond? Pink Rubie?” said the adult green and blue garden dragon.

“YES!!!! Dad!!!” said Diamond. “Come on Pink Rubie!”

Both of them embraced their father. 

“You look spectacular, Pink Rubie! I’ve never seen you before!” said the adult garden dragon. “And good job in taking care of your younger sister Diamond!”

And since that day as they walked into the enchantment building , life has grown there, and every garden dragon knows the story of their founders who had made the enchantment come back to life! “The Re-Lighters”.
