The Scared Chicken, Who Was Right To Be Scared!

One day at the Amy’s Animal Farm there was a chicken, a chicken who was a very scared chicken, always running about when something terribly silly happened. That’s why every animal called the chicken “Scaredy”.

Well on a sunny afternoon when the cows were out, lambs, geese, ducks, hens and every animal was out, except Scaredy preferred to stay inside. She would go “CLUCK!” when an animal stepped back inside.

All the animals found a great annoyance in Scaredy and would never listen to her silly remarks and her silly predictions like,

“If you stay in the snow for long, you’ll turn into snow!” Scaredy said during Winter.

“Ugh, stop worrying!” the other animals would cry.

One of the lambs was about to step out, when she saw a chicken under the hay, she knew immediately who it was, when she was trying to sleep, elder sheep would be discussing Scaredy.

“What’s wrong this time, is the sun going to make you melt again or,”

“Last night when I was getting into my toasty nest, a w w wolf howled, it’s coming to the farm!” interrupted Scaredy who was shaking.

The lamb giggled so much and assured Scaredy that she was being silly and then walked away stifling giggles coming out of her mouth. But did Scaredy think she was being silly, no siree. So she set off to warn everyone.

She met Lucy the Goose first.

“Lucy! There has been a dreadful thing! A w w wolf is coming! We must evacuate immediately! ” she cried.

“HAAAAAAAAAA! Hee Heee! A A Wolf!!! HA HA HA!” laughed Lucy the Goose.

But Scaredy had already ran warning Chen the Hen, Luck the Duck, Mao the Cow, Hig the Pig, and every other animal at Amy’s Animals Farm. None of them listened and enjoyed a peaceful day, not worrying. Scaredy was in shock, no one would listen! The wolf was getting closer! So she thought of the dumbest thing to do, well it was a lost cause at this moment, she started to build a wall, I mean let’s get real here, she’s not going to be able to finish, right? But good thing Scaredy never believed in the word “Give up” she put on the closest thing to a strong hat, which was slightly askew and began building. It was half past 4 when she had only completed the first layer. The other animals watched in great irksome, she was building a wall in the middle of the farm, but made no remarks, just watching Scaredy work away looking determined, giving no help at all. They all though Scaredy was being immensely silly. Scaredy continued to work and when she was half way through, around a quarter past 8, the wolf howled loudly. The animals yawned not looking harmed, except Scaredy, she worked faster until she had reached the top layer and she laid down to rest, it was somewhat around 2 and Scaredy was very tired. But the wolf had approached!

“AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWWHHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOOO!” cried the wolf.

The animals woke up, startled, the wolf was ten feet away. The were very quiet, nothing dared to make a sound of it would become the wolf’s dinner. The wolf stared at the farm from every angle, not seeing or hearing any animals, it left the farm feeling deeply perplexed. After a few hours when no scuffling noises were heard. The animals erupted into cheers.

“Hip Hip Hooray for Scaredy!” they all cried.

Scaredy was quite happy with her work and felt extremely joyous. All the animals lived in harmony and peace, and always listened to what Scaredy said, but only if it wasn’t one of Scaredy silly predictions like “If you eat a popsicle, you’ll become frozen forever!”. But Scaredy was a bit more less protective, not like stop being completely protective, but she realized how much fun she missed out on, hiding under the hay with nothing fun to do. So she was dedicated in spending her time outside having a jolly good time!
