Why The Pencil Hates The Pen

 Everyone knows a pencil hates a pen. Why? This story will help you understand. It all starts with mistakes.

“I was promised popcorn, thank you.” Pencil said.

“So why aren’t you friends with a pen?”

“*frowny face* Ugh simple, a pencil should be used because it can erase all the stains and pencils are better than puny pens.” 

“Okay *jotting it all down on the notebook* Anything else you’d like to tell me?”

“Tell you? I was just getting started!”

“Ooh this is gonna be juicy in the newspaper!”

“It's an inexpensive product, unlike pens! They come in different colors and designs and pens come in boring colors that are well boring! You can erase it from walls and pens just stay there forever no matter how much you try! We don’t run out of ink unlike a pen!”

“Wow...you seem to really hate pens. Have you got more?”

“Of course I do! Pens can easily break, they smear all the time and they always run out of ink like I previously mentioned. And use a pencil! Don’t use that pen!”

“Whoops. Thank you Mr Pencil,”

“Bye, use a pencil, or else. *glare*”

“Yes Mr. Pencil *awkward/nervous laugh*.

“So, would you mind stopping stuffing food in your mouth so I can interview you?”

“Rude.” Pen said with mouthfuls of popcorn.

“So the question I have for you is-”

“I only came here for popcorn.”

“Spare *annoyed* a few minutes of your time,”

“Ugh fine. What was the thing-a-ma-bomb you were going to ask me?”

“*angry* Do you ever listen?! *oops, polite voice* I mean a question.”

“Oh..ask away then.”

“Well I-”

“I can’t stay here for too long though.”

“Ok then, why aren’t you friends with a pencil?”

“*mad frowny face* Isn’t it obvious? I will explain.”

“*mind thought* Looks like he’s finally sticking to a subject. Better start taking notes.”

“The pen doesn’t break all the time like a pencil and it doesn’t need sharpening all the time!”

“Mmm Hmm What else for this scoop?”

“Pens come in fabulous designs which are worth millions of dollars and a pencil is just a boring writing tool.”

“And?!!!!”

“Pens show up well and when a pencil is used it can barely be seen. It's like it was white paper the whole time.”

“Also you can change the ink color to any color you want and a coloring pencil just stays the same, you can’t change it.”

“Thank you Mr. Pen,”
