The Bird In The Shadows

 Once, Crow and Wood Stork were hanging out. They were playing hopscotch when something flew by. Crow looked up and he could see a bird, but a bird in the shadows! He could only see it from far away.

“Crow? Crow? Earth to Crow,” said Wood Stork tapping him on the shoulder.

“Look, a bird,” said Crow.

“Where? Oh yeah there, let’s go say hi!” said Wood Stork

“Hi there,” said Crow.

“You!” shouted the bird pointing at Wood Stork.

“You!” shouted Wood Stork.

Crow couldn’t figure what was going on.

“I was friends with him in Flight Academy (A school for young birds learning to fly) and then in the flight course he abandoned me when I was stuck and went to go claim the ribbon himself. I stayed there until breakfast next morning,” explained Wood Stork.

“Seriously Wood Stork? Be nice! I am still going to be his friend.” said Crow sternly.

Wood Stork was shocked to hear those words and flew to Bunny’s to explain everything.

“Hey Wood Stork! What’s going on?” asked Bunny.

Wood Stork narrated the whole story.

“So what Wood Stork? If Crow wants to be friends he can be friends.” said Bunny.

“I know I know, but just to be safe.” Wood Stork said.

“Fine, but let’s go ask Squirrel for help,” said Bunny.

Squirrel was in her tree.

Bunny and Wood Stork narrated the whole story.

“What? That’s scary?” said Squirrel.

“Please let’s just spy on him for a few days to make sure nothings up.” pleaded Wood Stork.

“O...kay,” said Squirrel.

Wood Stork, Bunny and Squirrel followed the bird, AKA Shadows home.

“I will have all of Wood Stork’s friends as my friends and he won’t have anyone at all!” said Shadows when he got home.

“OMG…” whispered Bunny.

“Heheheh got it,” whispered Wood Stork.

Bunny and Squirrel stared at Wood Stork.

“I just took a video of Shadows saying that stuff.” explained Wood Stork.

“What was that?” Shadows asked himself out loud.

For a few seconds Bunny, Squirrel and Wood Stork froze and then they skittered under the bushes. Shadows peeked out the window.

“Just my mind playing tricks on me again.” said Shadows as he went back inside.

“We need a plan,” said Squirrel.

“Duh,” said Bunny. 

“Bunny your the fastest so go find Crow and quick, and Squirrel do you have your phone?” Squirrel nodded. “Good, you and me will stay here and record Shadows, ok everyone?” asked Wood Stork.

Squirrel and Bunny nodded. Bunny found Crow in 10 minutes and brought him to Shadows house. 

“So he’s just using me to make you sad!” said Crow watching Shadows.

The next day Crow and Wood Stork went to the park to play with Shadows. Shadows glared at Wood Stork but smiled widely at Crow. Little did he know Crow and the others had a little plan in mind. A minute later Bunny and Squirrel came and every animal surrounded Shadows.

“Stop using us to get rid of Wood Stork!” shouted Crow.

“What you don’t know anything!” yelped Shadows looking astounded. If he didn’t have all those feathers he would have looked redder than a sunset. 

“Oh yeah,” said Squirrel.

Squirrel and Wood Stork showed him the video recordings. 

“W What!?” shouted Shadows.

Everyone got closer and glared at Shadows while doing it until Shadows started flying and flew away.

“I’ll be back!” he yelled.
